Animated Work and Service Instructions and the Use of New Media like Smartphones, Tablets and Augmented Reality
Work and service instructions as well as user- and operator manuals should clearly and unambiguously communicate a series of steps to complete a process.

The use of visually accurate, interactive and immersive 3D information can dramatically improve training, on-time maintenance and safety awareness.

A single work instruction may include 10, 20, 100 or more steps. Each step includes the appropriate 3D interactive part model with a description of the action required and may also include an animation.
New media like smartphones, tablets and new technologies like augmented reality are rapidly changing the approach to technical communication. Customers, dealers and service operations will have constant and access to up – to date and complete information about the work processes. These techncologies will make the information easier to understand and will reduce erroneous interactions during the operation and reduce down-time and cost.

The presentation will outline out the business challenges and possible solutions to improve work processes through visual communication as well as use cases and business benefits.
